Production area: The vineyards are located in Verduno, lands highly suited to the production of Nebbiolo grapes from Barolo. The South-West Exposition has an altitude of about 300 meters above sea level, the soil is particularly calcareous-clayey with white marl.
Training system: Guyot, 4500 plants per hectare
Yield per hectare: 50/60 quintals per hectare, severe thinning in the vineyard
Harvest period: Around mid-October, however influenced by the climatic conditions of the year, harvested entirely by hand
Fermentation: In steel barrels at a controlled temperature of about 26 ° / 28 ° for 10/12 days, numerous pumping over and stripping carried out the malolactic fermentation, the wine is placed in wooden barrels for aging.
Aging: The wine is aged for 18 months in large oak barrels and once bottled it rests for at least 6/8 months in a horizontal position before being put on sale.
Duration of the wine: This wine has a great aging potential, it is refined slowly and constantly in the bottle, developing aromas and tertiary tastes of considerable complexity.
